Local Scout is Got Milk? Photo Contest Finalist

FD_Got_Milk
This year’s Got Milk? photo contest had over 300 entries from the eight Girl Scout councils in California. Of those, three finalists from Central California received a $350 camp scholarship, including Amaya Johnson-Wood, 7, of Bakersfield. Each Girl Scout submitted a photo and caption showcasing how Girl Scouts and milk have helped them become strong, healthy and confident. Amaya’s caption was, “Milk – it helps me sell Girl Scout cookies!” Girl Scouts of Central California South serves more than 10,000 girls and 3,000 adult volunteers in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, and Tulare counties, including 5,000 deserving girls through its Girl Scouts Connect Program. For more information on how to join, volunteer, reconnect, or donate to Girl Scouts, call (800) 490-8653 or visit www.girlscoutsccs.org.
