Bakersfield Girl Scouts of Central California South is currently on the search for three dynamic women honorees who have distinguished themselves in the Bakersfield community in their professions and as role models for girls by inspiring others to try a bit harder, reach a bit further, and believe in themselves.
Chosen honorees will be recognized at the Women Inspiring Girls Luncheon next Fall, an annual event which, since 2009, has honored women who have paved the way for today’s Girl Scouts to lead tomorrow. Past honorees from Bakersfield include Sue Benham, Barbara Grimm-Marshall, Dr. Sandra Serrano, RoseMary Wahl, Dr. Wendy Wayne, Stella McMurtrey, Irma Carson, Robin Mangarin Scott, Ginger Moorhouse, Geri Spencer, Judi McCarthy, and Peggy Cole Darling. This year’s Women Inspiring Girls Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013.
