Art is an important part of life, and should be something everyone can experience and enjoy. To help make that a reality, the Arts Council of Kern has put together the Art in Touch Exhibit, a traveling exhibition which provides a high-quality art experience for blind and visually impaired community members. The exhibit will travel for one year among the various communities of Kern County. In addition, the Arts Council will provide resources for each hosting venue to develop programs in their own community. The Art in Touch Exhibit includes tactile and interactive art works by Eileen Ettinger, Iva Fendrick, Enemerio Galvan, Justin Jennings, David Leitch, Marcy Hollrook, Bill Malis, Brian Stanton, Dan Slayton, Marlene Tatsuno, and Hank Washington. This very special exhibit is currently on display until June 10th at the Beale Library downtown, at 701 Truxtun Ave. For more information, call 661-868-0701.
