San Joaquin Community Hospital’s Children’s Mobile Immunization Program has received a $15,000 grant from KERO Channel 23 ABC Affiliate, Azteca Bakersfield, and the Scripps Howard Foundation. These funds make it possible for the program to offer free human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations to help protect girls under the age of 18 against two types of HPV that cause about 75 percent of cervical cancer cases.
