Buena Vista Museum of Natural History and Science is once again part of the Blue Star Museums initiative this summer. Through collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across the nation, Blue Star Museums offers free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from now until Labor Day, September 2, 2013.

This program is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card, including active duty military from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, members of the National Guard and Reserve, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and NOAA Commissioned Corps, plus up to five family members. The active duty member need not be present for family members to use the program.

For more info on BVMNH, go to sharktoothhill.org or call 661-324-6350. For a list of other participating museums, go to nea.gov/national/bluestarmuseums.
