If you’re into agriculture and have a yen for filmmaking, the World Ag Expo is calling for your video submission, for fun, recognition and a $3,000 grand prize! This year’s theme is “Feeding Tomorrow’s World,” and entrants must use video to tell the true story of agriculture and the people who work in its industry. Top videos will be posted on their website so the public can vote for their favorites starting next month.
“Farmers and ranchers are dedicated to providing us with a safe and consistent supply of food and fiber,” said Jerry Sinift, chief executive officer of the International Agri-Center. “We want the public’s help to tell… the great story of agriculture.”
The winner will be announced January 31, 2014 and awarded the $3,000 cash prize. The top video will be posted on the World Ag Expo website and played during the show in Tulare from February 11-13, where the winner will also be recognized.
To enter, upload your video to your own YouTube or Vimeo account and complete the online entry form on the World Ag Expo website. Videos must be at least 30 seconds long, but cannot exceed six minutes. Entrants must be 30 years old or younger to be eligible. Videos must be submitted by December 1, 2013. Visit WorldAgExpo.org for rules and the online entry form.
