Every Fourth Grade Kid in a National Park

Hey fourth grade parents! Are you in charge of planning the school field trip this fall? Want to see America’s natural wonders and historic sites for free? The National Park Service offers every 4th grade student and their family by extension free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and water areas.

This effort also allows educators, defined as a teacher in any US or military school, adult who engages fourth graders through a youth-serving organization such as camp director, home-school leader, after school leader, or religious group leader, to provide passes to the fourth graders they serve.

Each student receives a paper pass with a unique code. That pass gives them free access to all national parks, so plan the perfect field trip today!
