BARC Offers Shredding Services

With tax season right around the corner and paperwork piling up, Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens (BARC) has an answer for your office's organizational dilemmas. They offer secure document shredding services that meet AAA standards set by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID). An office-size box of paper costs $3.50 to destroy, and for peace of mind, you can watch as its contents are shredded. BARC is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is located at 2240 S. Union Avenue, Bakersfield.

BARC can destroy virtually all types of documents including computer disks, tapes, microfilm, microfiche, x-rays, foam core, and more into unrecognizable waste in a matter of minutes. In addition to shredding capabilities, BARC also offers assembly and packaging, recycling, E-waste recycling, and woodshop services. BARC's mission is to build a stronger community by helping people with developmental disabilities achieve individual goals for a better life.
