SJCH Wins National Judge's Choice Award

The San Joaquin Community Hospital (SJCH) Marketing Department won a Judge's Choice Award for its 2009 Sacred Work Campaign. Out of 3,000 entries in the Aster Awards Program, only eight were chosen nationwide for a Judge's Choice Award. SJCH's marketing department also received four other Aster Awards for their artwork in 2009.

In 2008, SJCH launched Sacred Work, a "culture shift" centered in empowering its staff and caregivers to treat themselves, their patients, fellow employees, family members, physicians, and community members as they would want to be treated themselves. "Over the past few years, Sacred Work has dramatically changed the culture here at SJCH," says Jarrod McNaughton, vice president of marketing and development. "Our marketing team has worked tirelessly to create materials that communicate the spirit of Sacred Work to our hospital family. To win such a prestigious award is always special, but winning for our Sacred Work Campaign makes it that much better."
