Boys & Girls Clubs Receive Grant from Chevron

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County announces a Chevron award of $10,000 to support the "College is Possible" program. The "College is Possible" Program is an offshoot of its Keystone Club where teens (ages 13 to 17) develop a life-long commitment to learning as they set and attain personal and professional goals.

"Chevron is proud to partner with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County to support educational opportunities for our youth," says Adam Alvidrez, Chevron policy, government & public affairs representative. "We want Kern County children to have the tools they need to succeed in the future."

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County have four clubs and 35 school sites in Bakersfield, Lamont, and Frazier Mountain. Every day, 4,000 youth are effected in a positive way through their involvement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County. For more information, please visit www.bgclubsofkern.org.
