Valley Achievement Center Selects New Executive Director

The board of directors of Valley Achievement Center (VAC), a local non-profit organization that provides educational and other programs for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities, recently named Michael A. Morton, Ph.D., as Executive Director.

Morton is the co-founder and former President and CEO of Nourish America headquartered in Ojai, California, an award-winning charitable organization that provides nourishing foods for at-risk groups and individuals nationwide, and has extensive experience in directing operations of philanthropic, non-profit, health care management, and grants administration programs through various organizations. He has a Masters in Psychology from Sonoma State University, a Doctorate in Psychology from International College, and has authored a book titled Five Steps to Selecting The Best Alternative Medicine, New World Library, 1996.

Since 1998, Valley Achievement Center has been a leading non-profit organization in Kern County, specializing in life-long learning and growth for children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
