With the holidays rapidly approaching along came all the school parties, Christmas artwork projects, and requests for students to bring in food and clothing to school to donate to the community. Grant, our kindergartener, quickly caught the holiday spirit! After school, our compassionate five year old, came home announcing that he needed to put together a package to take back to school. Proud of our tender-hearted son, we agreed to donate some clothes and cans for the school community service project. The next morning, with bag in hand, he proudly announced to all of us that he was “taking his donations to school so his class could sell the food and clothes to the homeless.” My husband & I could barely keep it together! We figured he has the mind of an entrepreneur! All day I smiled when I thought of his earnest endeavor.
