Help for Honor Flight Kern County

More World War II Veterans will soon be honored, thanks to recently donated monies from the Chevrolets Limited of Bakersfield car club and PG&E. Both entities gave to Honor Flight Kern County, a non-profit organization that helps recognize WWII Vets by providing them free travel accommodations to visit the Washington D.C. WWII Memorial.

Locally, Chevrolets Limited of Bakersfield donated $1500, and is challenging other car clubs to match its donation. On the corporate end, PG&E presented Honor Flight Kern County with a $10,000 check, enough to fully fund an Honor Flight trip this spring for 6 local veterans.

All donations to Honor Flight Kern County go directly to the Veterans' trip, which includes airfare, lodging, meals, an Honor Flight shirt, and disposable camera. For more information, contact Honor Flight Kern County at 661-544-VETS (8387) or visit their Facebook page.
