March 17, 2020 | 05:19 PM Dear Readers,
Our staff at Kern County Family Magazine is made up of families like yours. We share your concerns about the status of events in our community, many of which have been postponed due to the COVID-19 response. Our calendar section is extremely limited this month because of the uncertainty of scheduled activities for businesses, non-profits and the public they serve.
We will share cancellations and let you know of resources as local news becomes available.
It is with sadness that we find ourselves updating these canceled events online, including our own Summer Camps & Adventure Fair originally slated for April 2.
We are committed to continue to communicate with you via our website, by email and social media in a way that fulfills our purpose: to provide public information for all readers in Kern County. Our editorial staff will focus on tips and alternate activities during this unprecedented period in our country's history.

My job as a publisher is to help families stay informed and my plan is to do just that. Although these times are unprecedented, our dedication to helping parents, grandparents and all who care for local children remains the same.
From our families to yours, thank you for your support and your patience.
