KCNC Drug Endangered Children Training

Please join the Kern County Network for Children as we welcome Eric Nation, Director of Training and Development and Stacee Read, Director of DEC Network Development from the National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. This training will provide a foundational knowledge on the topics of Drug Endangered Children Awareness and Drug Endangered Children Approach. The training will cover who drug endangered children are along with the risks and long-term impacts that are associated with parental and caregiver substance misuse and drug activity. Attendees will learn the importance of and opportunities for early identification and intervention and the need for multidisciplinary collaborative efforts to identify and help these children. Trainers will provide examples that all disciplines can relate to and activities to assist in understanding this challenging topic. Attendees will learn of the opportunities to change the trajectories of the lives of drug endangered children and break multigenerational cycles.
