Established in 2010, Camp Challenge: JROTC Leadership Camp remains the only credit-producing Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps summer leadership course west of the Mississippi. During our four-week course, high school-aged participants focus on achievement and overcome many physical and mental challenges while developing self-confidence as leaders and active, contributing team members. In addition to developing leadership skills, successful participants in the Camp Challenge JROTC Leadership program enrich their academic transcripts by earning 180 hours of Leadership Education Training.
2. Camp Challenge: Leadership Development Program:
Session 1: July 2th – July 15th, 2017 - $2,995
Session 2: July 16th – July 29th, 2017 - $2,995
Middle School: Co-ed, Entering Grades 6-8 High School: Co-ed, Entering Grades 9-12
Camp Challenge Leadership Development Program (LDP) participants will learn invaluable life skills while taking part in group lessons, recreation activities, and experiential team challenges promoting development of self-confidence, accountability, discipline, respect, and other traits that set the foundations of success. Providing leadership instruction and opportunities that build a solid foundation for your camper’s future, the middle school level of LDP is ideal for students beginning to explore their leadership potential, while the High School program is specifically designed for teens who are not able to attend the four-week course but are still interested in developing new or enhancing existing leadership skills. These camps present formal leadership training through classroom instruction, community service, hands-on experiential learning opportunities, and off-site outdoor adventures.
“Both of our sons attended Camp Challenge this summer. Our younger son attended the Camp Challenge: Leadership Development Program and our oldest son attended Camp Challenge: JROTC Leadership. I am proud to say that they both left for camp as teenage boys and came back disciplined young men, with the confidence of knowing what it takes to be a leader. Our youngest son signed up for the Academy and is now attending the Army and Navy Academy.” – Barb Davis, Camp Challenge Parent
