Know Your Numbers Program Launches at Prado Senior Center in East Bakersfield

Kern County Public Health will launch our free Know Your Numbers program in east Bakersfield at the Prado Senior Center on Tuesday, August 27. This traveling program offers two health screenings informing participants of their body mass index, blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol levels both before and after six weeks of nutrition coaching from our Public Health Nutritionist and fitness classes taught by our Health and Fitness Instructor. All fitness levels are welcome as our fitness instructor offers modifications for varied fitness levels and comfort.

The community is invited to join us Tuesday, August 27 between 10:00AM and 11:00AM at Prado Senior Center at 2101 Ridge Road for the initial health screenings and event kick-off. Fitness and nutrition classes will be held Tuesdays from 10:00AM to 11:00AM from September 3 through October 1 and are available to the public, even if you didn’t attend the initial health screening.
