Kern High Film Festival Returns to the FOX Theater

The red carpet is rolling out for the Kern High Film Festival, an evening of cinematic excellence celebrating the creativity and talent of student filmmakers from across the Kern High School District. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at the FOX Theater, 2001 H St., Bakersfield.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and the event kicks off with a video montage from 5:15 to 6 p.m. before the main program begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.

Audiences will experience a dynamic lineup of student-created films, including music videos, documentaries, news stories, advertisements, public service announcements, and more.

The festival will recognize outstanding student work with awards in key categories, including best editing, costume, audio design, lighting design, screenplay, cinematography, best actress, best actor, and best director.
