“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). This freedom liberates us from sin, fear, and spiritual bondage. It challenges us to walk away from selfishness and live in love and service to others.
As Americans, we honor the courage of those who fought for liberty. But as Christians, we remember that our ultimate freedom comes from the cross. Jesus said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32). This truth anchors us through every trial and triumph.
Let us use our freedom wisely—not to indulge the flesh, but to pursue justice, mercy, and humility (Micah 6:8). Let us be peacemakers, bridge-builders, and voices for the voiceless.
During this month of July, may we give thanks for our freedoms, pray for our nation, and walk in the freedom that only Christ can give—a freedom that endures forever.
