Life can feel like a constant rush. We move from one responsibility to another, always thinking about what comes next. In the middle of all this noise, God invites us to pause. A pause is not wasted time; it can be a sacred moment to rest, listen, and remember that we are not in control of everything.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Sometimes peace does not come from changing our circumstances. It comes from becoming still in God’s presence. When we pause, we give our hearts room to breathe and our minds an opportunity to focus on what truly matters.

Jesus also showed us the importance of stepping away from the busyness of life. Mark 6:31 says, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Even Jesus’ disciples needed rest.

A pause can be as simple as sitting quietly, praying, reading Scripture, or taking a moment to thank God. In that stillness, we can surrender our worries and trust His plan.

So, when life feels overwhelming, do not be afraid to pause. God is present in the quiet. Isaiah 26:3 reminds us that He keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him. Sometimes, the peace we need begins with simply stopping and remembering who God is.
