14th Annual Ready-Set Back to School event!

Each year, the Kern County Department of Child Support Services host a back-to-school event in our community to give away free backpacks and school supplies for kids. Backpacks are for all children in attendance, entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. There is a limit of one backpack per child, while supplies last. Since 2010, we have given away up to 39,000 free backpacks.

Come by the Kern County Museum with your kids to receive a free backpack, free school supplies, community resources, and more!
