On Thursday, March 26, Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals hosted an award ceremony to distribute $519,000 in funding to ten Kern County non-profit organizations in 2026.
Recipients of the 2026 Dignity Health Community Health Improvement Grants Program are:
- Links for Life - Links for Life Health and Wellness Program - $30,000
- Teen Challenge of Southern California - Kern County Chapter - $50,000
- Youth Connections of Kern County - Youth Connection of Kern County Project - $90,580
- Dress for Success: - Dress, Dignity & Direction: The Economic Empowerment Initiative - $20,000
- Brighter Bites - Improving food security and reducing health disparities with Brighter Bites Bakersfield - $40,000
- The Wounded Heroes Fund - The Wounded Heroes Fund Kern County Chapter - $50,000
- Flood Ministries - Compassion, Connection & Care: The Homeless Youth Health Initiative - $65,000
- Kern County Network for Children - Kern County Network for Children- $33,420
- Shielding the Frontline - Shielding Minds: Mental Health Resilience for Kern County First Responders - $75,000
- KRV Bridge Connection- KRV Bridge Connection to a Brighter Future - $65,000
