Dog lovers across Bakersfield have no shortage of places to gather, connect, and let their four‑legged family members stretch their legs. The city’s off‑leash dog parks offer welcoming spaces for exercise, play, and community—right in the heart of local neighborhoods.

Bakersfield’s Off-Leash Dog Parks

  • Centennial Dog Park (Central Bakersfield)
    • 400 Montclair Street
  • Coffee Road Dog Park (Northwest Bakersfield)
    • 6101 Coffee Road
  • Kroll Dog Park (SW Bakersfield)
    • 7500 Kroll Way
  • Mesa Marin Sports Complex Dog Park (East Bakersfield)
    • East side of Bedford Green Drive. Between State Route 178 and Kern Canyon Road
  • Seasons Dog Park (SW Bakersfield)
    • 5601 Harris Road
  • University Dog Park (East Bakersfield)
    • 4301 University Avenue
  • Wilson Dog Park (Southwest Bakersfield)
    • 2400 Wilson Road



Dog Park Rules:
  • Dogs must display a valid license and up-to-date vaccines, including a rabies vaccination tag. (BMC § 6.04.04A and § 6.04.o5C).
  • Keep your dog on a leash until you reach the off-leash area and keep your dog within sight and under voice control.
  • If your dog becomes unruly or displays a change in behavior, leash your dog, regain control, and leave the off-leash area.
  • Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste properly. • Children must be closely supervised at all times.
  • Parks are open from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm.



PROHIBITED FROM DOG PARKS AT ALL TIMES
  • Aggressive dogs
  • Dogs under 4 months of age
  • Bicycles
  • Female dogs in heat
  • Glass containers
  • Food
  • Motorized vehicles
  • Rollerblades
  • Pets other than dogs
  • Skateboards
  • Rollerblades
